Product Sourcing & Procurement

We buy on your behalf from Chinese suppliers and consolidate the goods with your shipment — one point of contact from the factory gate to the vessel, and no hidden margin on the supplier price.

Scope

What the Service Covers

Supplier identification

Shortlists from our network of manufacturers and trading companies, with quotes compared line by line so you can see what you are choosing between.

Price and terms negotiation

Unit price, minimum order quantity, lead time and payment terms negotiated on your behalf — every concession confirmed in writing.

Sample management

Samples requested, checked against your specification and couriered to you before any order is placed. No sample approval, no order.

Production follow-up

Progress reported at the milestones we agree together, with photographs from the factory floor when access allows.

Pre-shipment goods check

Quantity, packaging, labelling and basic condition verified at the supplier before the goods leave — discrepancies found while they are still cheap to fix.

Consolidation

Goods merged into your vehicle or machinery booking, or shipped as LCL/FCL on their own — one shipment, one document set.

Transparency

How the Money Moves

What you pay

  • The supplier’s price, approved by you in writing before the order is placed
  • Our sourcing fee, quoted per project and confirmed before any work starts
  • Freight, quoted separately on the same transparent basis as any other booking

What we do not do

  • We do not add a hidden margin to the supplier price
  • We do not release payment to a supplier without your written instruction
  • We do not act as the seller of record — the supplier’s invoice, warranty and product liability apply

Boundaries

What This Service Is Not

Said plainly

  • We are not the manufacturer — product design and specification liability stays with the supplier
  • We do not certify products to standards the supplier has not tested for (CE, UL and similar); we check against your brief and report honestly
  • We do not provide trade finance, and we do not pay suppliers from our own account without a signed sourcing agreement
  • Post-delivery quality claims are handled with the supplier; we supply the evidence gathered at origin

What you get instead

  • A verifiable record at every step: quotes, samples, photographs, check reports
  • One team that already handles your freight, so quality issues surface before the container is sealed
  • Honest reporting when a product is outside our network or a supplier will not meet the brief

Add Sourcing to Your Next Shipment

Send your product brief — specification, quantity and target price — and we will come back with a shortlist and a quoted sourcing fee.

Questions we get asked often

Do you charge for sourcing?
Yes, and the fee is quoted before any work starts: a fixed project fee for a one-off search, or a percentage of order value for an ongoing programme. If we cannot produce a shortlist that meets your brief, the search fee is not charged. Everything is in the sourcing agreement before we contact a single supplier.
Can you pay the supplier for us?
On written instruction, as your buying agent under a sourcing agreement that fixes the price, the fees and the payment method. Otherwise you pay the supplier directly — we never release funds without your written go-ahead either way.
What if the goods fail the pre-shipment check?
We stop the shipment and report with photographs. The options — supplier rework, replacement, a price adjustment, or cancellation — are yours to decide, and the decision is documented before anything moves.
Do you source only vehicles?
No. General merchandise: parts and accessories, machinery, building materials, consumer goods — anything that can consolidate with a vehicle shipment or travel as LCL or a full container.
Which markets do you source from?
Our supplier network covers the manufacturing clusters around our booking ports in North, Central and South China. When a product sits outside that network, we say so rather than send you a quote we cannot stand behind.
Who is responsible if the goods are defective?
The supplier. We are your buying agent, not the seller of record: the supplier’s invoice and warranty apply, and our role is to gather the evidence at origin — samples, photographs and check reports — so the claim is arguable.
